Forecast of Chinese seafood imports will fall in 2020
According to an Undercurrentnews survey, more than 80% of Chinese seafood executives predict that China will reduce seafood importting in 2020. According to the survey, 64% of participants said that importting American lobster and pangasius in Vietnam will decrease in 2020, while in 2019 , import of these two items will reach more than US $ 1 billion. The survey also found that nearly half of the participants believed that the supply of shrimp, salmon, pangasius and lobster to China as well as the demand in China for these products will reverse in 2020.
